The IMF requires all their debtors so enact tight economic and fiscal policies.  Although the IMF holds good intentions, this homogenous approach does not benefit all developing countries.  The IMF should, instead, analyze each individual debtor’s situation and stipulate policy that will benefit that debtor.  Economic professionals from outside of the IMF can consult the IMF in regards to setting up individual country policies.

Those participating in international business need to realize that demand drops suddenly and to a large degree when IMF monetary policy takes effect.  Also, the countries often recover from IMF loans with a strong growth economy, which creates attractive investment opportunities for international business people.  With new IMF policies tailored to each debtor country, the demand drop may not occur and growth may occur sooner.
